The burglaries in the Ashland area of Lee County seem to have subsided to some extent, but we are still following up on any and all leads.

Several of our communities are experiencing break-ins during the times people are at church and away at work. Most have occurred in daylight hours. If you see any vehicles or people you do not know, feel free to contact the Lee County Sherriff’s Office and report any suspicious activity.

• We are taking steps to provide additional coverage by placing unmarked vehicle out on patrol.
